Rhinoplasty ( Nose surgery ) is a stunning operation that directly affects the aesthetic appearance of the face and generally results in high patient satisfaction . The rhinoplasty is aimed for two different results at the same time .
1) The nasal deformities are corrected, thus creating the most appropriate, aesthetic proportion of the nose for the external appearance of the face .
2) Existing obstructive bone or meat tissues are removed surgically so that to relax the respiratory tract .
Thus achieves the goal both aesthetic and functional treatment.
There are 2 types of operation techniques, one open and one closed . Nowadays , open technique is used nearly 95% of the surgeries . Especially with difficult nose cases you can achieve much better results with the open technique.
Smokers must stop smoking at least 10 days in advance and must not smoke for at least 15 days after surgery, as this will prevent adverse events.

Depending on the scope of the planned operation, the procedure takes between 1-2.5 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. After surgery , a plastic or metal mold will be on your nose and a silicone buffers in , that allow breathing . You can get up 2-3 hours after the surgery and eat your meals after 5-6 hours. If your general condition is very good, you may even be discharged on the same day or after an overnight stay in hospital you will be discharged. Silicone buffers in the nose are removed after 1-2 days and plastic or metal mold after 5-7 days . So you can go back to work after one week or 10 days after surgery. Swelling and bruising may occur on your eyes and on your nose. In order to prevent this, plastic or metal mold and ice treatments are given after the operation . The degree of swelling and bruising varies from person to person. It takes about a week to 10 days for the regression. After the end of a month, the swelling decreases by 70-80%.
